Let's talk about what makes this place special. Lakewood Ranch isn't just where I sell homes... It's where I grew up.
Wait, I actually lived here before it existed. I watched it grow up! LOL
I've lived here since I was four years old. I went to the local schools, I watched this area grow from quiet ranch land into one of the most sought-after communities in the country, and I raised my own family here. This is my backyard — and it's my area of expertise.
A little history
Lakewood Ranch began in 1995, when the first village — Summerfield — rose out of the Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, a working cattle ranch the Uihlein family had run since 1922. The vision was never just to build houses. It was to build a real community: a place to live, work, and play, with open space, nature preserves, and home choices for every age and stage of life. Thirty years later, that vision is exactly what you'll find here.
Why people come — and why they stay
Location has a lot to do with it. We're close to Tampa, close to Sarasota, and a short drive from some of the best beaches and coastline in Florida. But people don't just come for the location. They come for the lifestyle.
Lakewood Ranch is one of the few places where young professionals, growing families, and retirees all thrive in the same community. Top-rated schools, miles of trails, golf, town centers, great restaurants — there's something here for every chapter of life.
If you're thinking about selling or buying
When you've lived somewhere as long as I have, you don't just know the market — you know the neighborhoods, the streets, and the trends as they've unfolded over decades. I've watched Lakewood Ranch evolve, and I know what buyers are looking for here right now.
If you're curious about what your home is worth — or just curious about the area — reach out. I'd love to chat about your real estate goals.

Take a look at what's available right now across the entire Ranch — active listings and coming-soon homes. This collection updates on its own as new opportunities hit the market, so check back often.
Get a professional valuation based on recent closed sales in your specific community — not a county-wide automated estimate. I provide customized home valuations built on comparable sales from your neighborhood.
It depends on the community, price point, and condition. Homes priced from actual closed comparable sales sell faster; overpriced listings sit and go through reductions. I track days on market by community so your price matches reality.
Sometimes — and sometimes they're a waste of money. Through Compass Concierge, you can make value-adding improvements before listing and pay at closing with no upfront cost. I'll tell you honestly which updates pay back and which don't.
Demand typically peaks in winter and spring when seasonal buyers are in town, but well-priced homes sell year-round. Accurate pricing matters more than the month you list.
